IOur flagship hunt

Sandhill Crane

A sandhill crane is four feet of bird with a hawk’s eyesight. They will circle a spread a dozen times before they commit — and when they do, they hang over the decoys at twenty yards with their feet down, rattling.

We scout the evening before and set up in the field they actually fed in — layout blinds, full‑body decoys, and calling that stops when it ought to. Three birds a gun, and the best table bird in North America.

Mornings from the blind — cranes off the playas, geese in the grain, the run at its peak.

Plan your hunt

Fly into Lubbock (LBB), about forty minutes from most of our fields, and we’ll meet you at the terminal. You bring your gun, your shells and your license; we handle the blinds, the decoys, the calling and the cleaning. Combine any two species in a trip, and book early — crane weekends fill first.
